86.5 Homage Thread
So, I've spent the afternoon looking lovingly into the pop-up eyes of my new ride, rowing thru the 5 oppositely placed gears and realizing an RMB is in the future...
So I felt that my 3 year search coming to fruition needed some shout-outs - which in turn made me realize how special the 928 brotherhood is. So without further ado, thanks to:
Mr. Merlin - Stan, thanks for turning a solid platform into a great car. I can't say enough what a great job you have done - this car is like new. Who says OCD is a disease??
Lowmiler - Todd, not on RL any more, but volunteered time and phonecalls without anything in return to find a car.
Black28 - Michael, thanks for the CL trolling, looking at cars, and the only bro here I've actually met! I owe you lunch...
Capt. Earl - Thanks for letting me talk your ear off and offering your expertise to someone you'd never even meant.
JWise - dude, thanks for dealing with Alva (inside joke...) - wonder what happened to the 85 Euro?
And finally in no particular order: the second stringers on the cast of Cheers, Calvin Klein, the State of Wisconsin, and some guy who, 25 years ago, decided not to drive his car very much so that I would get to!

Hey Daniel I hope that you enjoy the car,
it is a really nice ride with plenty of life left in it.

I cannot believe how quiet it is. I kind of like it that way.

I felt... and am still feeling... exactly the same way!!!! Gotta love those guys with too much money and not enough time to REALLY enjoy a great car... especially an 86.5 / S3 !!! And, all the help, suggestions, technical advice & guidance and the occassional spare parts I've recieved from the 928ers on RL has been priceless!
