I don't remember the lengths that I used. I wanted to make sure I could install them with the radiator shroud in the car. I have it off in the picture though.

Also in the bottom picture you can see where I marked the oil cam gear when I torqued it down. When doing any engine work I always use a paint pen to mark fasteners when I torque them. If there is more than one torque sequence I use a different color for each sequence. This way if I get interrupted I can keep track of where I was.

THANKS a million for that tip. I'll get a set of those longer bolts before my next trip into that task.

There are truly only a limited number of genius' in the world - you and Sterling and maybe Einstein, but he never did any work on a 928! The rest of us just muddle through.

I think I have only done one timing belt with the engine in the car... at least on my 928.....
