Engine knock noise on hard right turns?! Need help with diagnosis

I just got my 928 back from the shop. Had the power steering pump rebuilt due to a small leak. Car feels fine, plenty of power, steering is perfect BUT on hard right turns -- I'm getting noise from the engine that sounds just like bad engine knock. On less aggressive turning, I can get the noise to come and go directly with steering wheel input. Pull right, noise, release to center, no noise. I can not duplicate this noise on left turns at all.
At first I panicked and thought it might be oil starvation because I was taking a very long, hard radius right (entrance ramp) but then I was able to do it on a very slight turn right with the noise coming and going directly against steering input. I'm going to run it back to the shop for diagnosis but wanted to check here first. BTW, Oil pressure is perfect according to the new gauge/sender I just had installed. Power is perfect. Car feels fantastic but this is a new noise causing me concern.
Can a power steering pump make such a noise? I know what a pump sounds like when it's low oil fluid and that's NOT the noise I'm getting as outlined above.
Thanks for any input guys.
David

I know the question's asked is always what was touched last. So here's the summary.
Only other recent work under the hood was passenger cam tower gasket, but i'm 99% sure that the "knock" noise was not there in the two months since that work was done. (I'm sure I would have noticed it over the two months since brining it back for the power steering leak.)
Also done was two (porsche part) plugs added to the block to close the holes from removing the air pump.
New O ring gasket below airbox - where it connects to the intake.
Cluster out for new clip, bushing, oil pressure gauge and dimmer potentiometer dial.
Thanks,
David

No noise at all when driving normally or standing still and turning left and right. Only when going - say over 40 MPH and enough input to get some body roll.

Check to see if your power steering hard line is hitting your steering shaft.

OK, I found another issue from searching here. Someone said check the lug nuts. I went out to the car and they seem fine, but I gave the tire a hit with my palm and low and behold I get a loud metal banging noise. I'm guessing dust shield? Can they get loose?

push the dust shield inwards it sounds like its hitting the rotor
You should also jack up the car and inspect the hard line from the back of the PS pump,
if it has been worked on there is a strong possibility that the line is hitting the fenderwell ,
this would be near the #5 exhaust manifold.
If it is dont try to bend the line rather use a wrench on the banjo bolt you may need a helper to hold the hose while you tighten it and you may need to drop the alternator

So the dust shield was just an issue I happened on but that was not the sound I'm hearing on right turns. Turns out it was the fan shroud. I've got an aftermarket Alluminum radiator and I guess the stock shroud doesn't fasten well now. Pushed it back into the tabs and solved.

David, as an aside it may be worth checking that the fan shroud is not hard up against the front line that comes from the bottom of the power steering reservoir too. If so the power steering reservoir bracket can be loosened and the reservoir rotated to avoid any rubbing. I have found that the rubbing will wear through the hose over time.
