Now that I look closer I think the one I posted might be the exact part pre modification....

I'll get it and have my AC shop plumb it for 87+ cars.

Once they're done I'll post pictures.

While that's going on I'll try to get the attachment points made.

@Speedtoys

AutoAtlanta lists an OEM version for the 93-95 GTS for $270. Not a parallel version.

Default Mr

The condenser in my 86.5 is 14 x 20. I am looking at the 14 x 25 and trying to remember why I was sure it would not fit. I had to fab upper and lower mounts for the condenser as well as tubing that did a horizontal 180 and vertical 90 to mate up with the stock receiver dryer. To make that more interesting, the fitting on the bottom of the condenser is a #6 and the fitting on the receiver dryer is a #8. Gotta take another look at the car to see why I thought 20 inches was my max width.

I purchased the condenser from an outfit called Cold Hose

Because in our earlier cars the head light motor rotates 360 degrees. In the later ones it only goes 180 to account for the larger condenser.

Thanks for the info, now I don't feel so dumb (except that I didn't know I could have the mondo condenser by swapping the headlight motor).

You can't just swap the headlight motor - you also need a new headlight relay, changes to the CE panel wiring, new motor wiring/connectors, new up & down stops for the headlight frames... quite a bit of work and fiddly to get adjusted right.

Here's the condenser I ordered. Dimensions are identical to mine.

I'll drop it off with my AC guys to get it plumbed this week.

Kevin - so the same one you posted about earlier, seem like a good deal (except for the need for additional mods - but that's pretty inevitable)

Please post about the ultimate fit - if all is good I think I'll pick one up too.

I have a couple of leaking condensers - I plan on poaching the AC hard lines in the short term. My AC guys think they found the correct pipe and threaded connections.

The hard work is reproducing the attachment hardware. Lost my 3D designer - now an associate professor at UNC.

And as with all my projects I have plans for a simplified bottom supports the won't require getting under the car to remove the condenser in the future.

Good - be very interested to see what you come up with!
