Too bad the blower is not an MX422 or MX424

WAG...Depending on the pulley...7-10 psi and appx 380 to 450+ to the wheels?

Bottom line for me was it woke up the automatic and has been fun tinkering with, frustrating at times, but i enjoy it.

Hmmm this is really tempting except I do not think I can afford it at this time which is a real beyatch because the twin screw is the way that I envisioned going.

I already spent $10 G in the last 12 months but this is a good deal I understand.

Its just not the right time for me as I need to continue to understand this electromotive setup a little better and of course also have the coin for a complete exhaust system.
I cant see installing a blower without coated headers and a nice flowing exhaust something like Borla or Otts.
I will have to consider this and see if it is possible to come up with the coin

Do you have a picture of the blower and the parts that come with it?

I need to get some pictures. Will try and do that soon. Its not exactly handy, so may be a day or so.

I put up the thread to get it out there before changing my mind again. Figured once it was out there, I would finally go through with letting go of it, and the pictures and more detailed info would follow.

Thanks
Hans

Hans,
Do you know how this kit differs from the original Andy Keel kits?

Quite a bit. nothing is the same between this and the Keel kit except the concept. The castings are different and improved. This is setup for twin throttle intakes, as opposed to one... cant really think of any similarities apart from the general concept/location of the major components.

This could be made to emulate a Keel installation though, by fabricating a single throttle inlet system. This would not be very complicated, and I happen to have a spare 85/86 throttle which would make the job very easy if someone wanted to go that direction.

Thanks
Hans

I am thinking that an exhaust like this would help over the stock system?

Hans I must have missed the part about the duel throttle intakes. That should increase crispness and maybe even increase performance?
Now I really need to see a picture.

Brad,

You have seen the kit before. Its the same one Andrew Olson has... made at the exact same time. He has since upgraded the pulley and tensioner, but all the guts are the same.

Thanks
Hans

This could really be fun for someone. I think Andrew's car is a great example of how it can be done well.

His car as a whole is how 928's can be done well. That **** is SET UP!

GLWS Hans! I want it, but way too far down the list.

Hi Guys... been busy at work (that's a good thing in my book these days!) And thanks for the compliments.

To answer the RWHP question, the 2.5" pulley yields about 6psi.

I'm running a 2 3/8" pulley now IIRC and get between 7-9.3 psi depending on the density of the air. This pulley netted me 450 RWHP with stock exhaust - except for an x-pipe.

I ran a 2" pulley for a bit and was pushing upwards of 11psi. I didn't quite make it to the dyno, but I beat a car that has proven to have over 500 RWHP in a straight up drag race from 50 to 130+ This is also the pulley I was running when i took on an Audi R8 V10! It's a friggen rocketship! However, I think this is a bit too aggressive for this supercharger as you are literally spinning the crap out of it! I've since backed off and gone back to the 450 RWHP pulley.

I am happy to walk people through installation and issues with routing stuff, but it's really pretty straight forward.

One thing to consider, if you are going to put this in a 5-speed, you will need to update the clutch. I run a Spec Stage 3+ on mine and while break-in was a bitch (anyone heard from Tuomo lately?) it grabs and has proven reliable so far.

I'll try and monitor this thread over the next few days in case anyone has questions that I can answer.

Oh ya I need to save money for tires and tickets.

I guess if you still have it for sale after I get Deb back from her operation (end of Sept) I will know better the finances.

AO dose yours have the duel intake?

Because I'd keep cranking the boost up until something else let go I've wanted a TS set up for 5 years now.
