Air pump power and noise

Air pump power and noise
I installed an X pipe today and last night I installed a GT muffler.
I had a bit of an issue with the drivers side alignment on one hole, but wasn't too big of a deal. Because of time I didn't do anything with the air pump plumbing/belt.
I DID plug the hole with a finely threaded machine screw. Apparently, I didn't do a good job at plugging it as it came out shortly after I hit the throttle a few times in the driveway.
How much air is coming out of that thing? Is pressure dependent on throttle?
As far as the X Pipe and GT muffler on my 87 I am quite pleased. It isn't loud at all (with the bigger resonators) but under throttle it is very deep and mean sounding.
Thanks!

I believe, from researching, there is little to no air pumped into the cats from this line unless under throttle.
When I had the car warmed up I juiced the throttle a few blips and that is when I heard the screw hit the belly pan. I KNEW I should have gone another route. ...now I have to jack it back up and crawl under there with this damn hernia.
