My "new" used Rear Wiring Harness arrived yesterday, thanks again to 928 International for helping us keep these old sharks on the road.
Jim it looks like this is the connection for the Auto Trans (PRND2) connection and it goes to the Pod (I think). looks like I'm pulling the Dash
All the rear end wires look to have inside connections w/ two exceptions:
Fuel Pump
and these with the right side Tail light cable, not sure what they are for, or how hard they will be to get to. Anyone know ?
And I'm not going to cut it, going to just replace the entire harness, and wow look how nice that will be compared to that mess I pictured.
Thanks,
Dave

LOL, and nope their not the ABS, I found those, they branch off w/the ones for the Trans connections.
The ones I'm looking at go out the body at the right rear tail light and are only on the right side. The left tail light harness does not have the extra small harness (license plate?).

Hi all, I've been wanting to update this for some time but been real busy getting "The Onion" ready for my first ever DE event that was sponsored by out local PCA (SEMPCA). I had a list of things to fix to get the car past Technical Inspection to be allowed on the track.
The DE was held at a local MI track called Waterford Hills, here are some of the pics of what I fixed and on the track taken by our local PCA president (thanks John!).
I replaced that rear wiring harness, it sure did clean things up, although my Backup lights and PRND32 in the dash are still in-op
Rear brakes were down to the pad warning wires, so they were done as was all four brake lines and fresh fluid, I even have correctly working e-brakes now
The Axel shaft boots (one on each side) were torn, and you can't have grease flying off on to the track so both sides had to be taken apart cleaned re greased and replaced.
All loose items removed from the car and it was off to the track, I had a GREAT time and am going to do more DE events. It's really fun learning the track and how to drive to the cars fullest potential.
If you can, do it! I also got a ride w/ an instructor in an Carrera S 4 and wow he was at the total limit, what a rush!
Enjoy,
Dave

More pic's at the track and I even made it back home after four 20 min sessions in 80 deg heat
Couldn't have asked for a better day, we had 27 cars register and I think about 8 were in the Green (novice group) like me

Thank you kindly Dan, it has come a long way and worth the effort so far I had a blast on the track! Still has issues to be resolved, but for now I am enjoying it as a DE car.
I was really surprised how well it did w/ non slotted rotors up front and used all season tires (fronts are different make than the backs). Stock Bogies, no upgrades (except X pipe and some after mkt chips I had).
Thanks again,
Dave

Hi Brian, I was the only 928 they ever had show up for a DE here, there were two 944's and my instructor runs a 944 Turbo (15 PSI boost), the 928 was well received by the others at the track.
With the Auto Trans, I just stayed in second once I got on the track, the only time I'd go above 6k RPM was on the back straight, then hard on the brakes for a sharp right.
Thanks,
Dave
