Very nice! I love that ext. color! Not a big fan of the interior color but it works and is in great shape. Have fun with it!

That really is a nice looking 928; but then that seems like saying that a particular rain drop is wet. So, I suppose yours is a lot wetter that many we have seen. Congratulations.

Landseer- High praise coming from you - I appreciate it (and I hope it lives up to it!)

gbg- well, owner thought he sold it for too little...I though I paid a bit too much, so I guess it sold right about where it ought to have. :-)

Jerry- 'wetter'? I'll take it!

All, thanks for the kind words! The transaction did have some bumps just from a process perspective- long distance isn't always adventurous in a 'fun' way...but the seller was great. I have to admit the adrenalin gets tempered a bit by writing the check for the sales tax after being an ping pong ball for the Registry beaurocracy..So coming back to the nice comments was really a great help tmitigating the faint cast of buyers remorse that had crept in. Hope to see all at the Frenzy in two ...wait, a few weeks!

Oh, and forgot one flaw- sunroof isn't totally aligned..I have faint recollection of reading about that when I had an '85 in '95 or so..but need to refresh my memory. HOping for minor....

INteresting facts from the service records..well, Im biased but:

Window Sticker! $54,476.00 out of Charlotte, NC. Estimated annual fuel cost $1065

Mail from Porsche about cat converter shield recall.

First owner w/available records was a Dr. I like that. Unfortunately, perhaps, the address is "Purgatory Road"......Car was well treated for being there-- got oil changes every month about 1,500 miles.

$50 alignment on file..those were the days!

Frequent attention to A/C. Lower hose repaired in 1989 due to chafing/wear. Lower hose similarly compromised now.

Numerous temp sensors, temp sensor IIs and thermostats- starting at Nov 1986....

Remarkable number of other things replaced by dealer- trunk hatch motor, vaccum t's and such.

Car service at 70K miles back in ....2000! I guess it's seen limited use. Almost wish it had gone to a more plush home!

2010- Timing Belt replaced for $750, inclusive...no w/p.

Very nice...Great colour combo...especially the interior. I have the same interior colour and it's relatively rare.

But, my return to 0-60 in +/- 6.5 (actually, this is my first Auto 928) was not as exhilerating as I hoped...but I'll get to remedying that on my return.

Sweet new ride!

The grey green interior looks great with the blue, I like blue paint but not much for the blue interiors.

Once you get some of the common issues resolved you'll soon find that you like the auto 928 especially the '86.5 with LSD...

Nice car, I love the unusual color combos.

Porken's chips (or a supercharger) will help the 0-60 a tad!

Yes, it would be a good platform for forced induction. Pressurized intake might help mask any vacuum leaks, too....Kidding. I'm not fungible enough to go F/I at the moment. Hard for me to imagine a circumstance when I would plunk down that cash for the (albeit large) incremental gain in 928 performance, but I appreciate the work of those that do!

Wow.. Welcome to the area. I have a few friends in the Fort Washington Area.

Another 86.5 Dunkle in the area! LSD is a great option and a nice interior color.

Congrats!
