After reading this thread back in 2011 and trying almost everything that has been mentioned, I realized the only possible solution was a shroud for the 4 puller fans or an external oil cooler, so this winter I made a shroud for the pullers and I can report it is working well so far. There is so much more flow of air being sucked thru the radiator than before.

I had the car out in almost 90 degree florida weather the other day in traffic with AC on and temp stayed very stable staying in the center between the 2 white marks.

The real test will be in the upcoming months and I will report back.

+1 every part of my cooling system is NEW, including the stock Porsche radiator!

Default Some suggestions

After I installed my Murf 3 kit I noticed temperatures, both water and oil were very high. Especially on the track in 25-30c+ weather? I had to pull off when both warning lights came on...

In traffic, the water temp would always be at 90c+ even on cooler days...

The SC airbox reduces the airflow through the rad considerably. I run the 1 big pusher and 4 small pullers that came with the kit. I removed the front louver system which I would recommend. However there is just not enough airflow through engine bay, it's hotter than an easy bake oven in there!

I added an external oil cooler and a new aluminum belly pan from 928intl. Made a huge difference!! At speed the water temp stays in the low 80's while at idle in traffic it never goes above 90c. But with 6 fans running now, it sure sucks the amps!

My next project is to cut out a hood vent in the low pressure zone to extract more heat at idle and speed which I think will help. The final step is to cut out another slit in the front bumper in the high pressure zone above the current openings to allow more air flow through the rad into the engine bay and exit through the hood vent and belly pan..I'll report back later with the results.

Reading this thread reminds me why i removed my S/C unit after 30K miles..Cooling and oiling Thats it!

Mine runs hot in the summer. Its been an exceptional cool spring out here so far...come june july august though i pretty much park the car. Its too darn hot to drive it from a HVAC stand point more than anything. Im certain that an external oil cooler will remedy any hot running i get out of the engine in the summer months though...thats why im interested in that picture shown.
