Default CE Panel Connector A – W Pin out Numbering ?

Hi all , I’m troubleshooting some melted wires in the CE panel on the 86.5 I picked up for my son and all the A – W connectors are numbered 1 – 5, 1 – 5

The diagrams show them as 11 – 15, 21 – 25

Can someone please assist, I thought I had this written down but cant find my note.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

The connector I’m looking at is “E” and I have melted Red and Red/Black strip wires, in pins 1, 2 3 and the jumper from 1 to 3

Looks like the wires that are fried are all for the Interior Wiring, including ones going to the Interior XXI Relay, that figures as none work

edit: guess I'm not putting that fuse back in.

Makes sense.
Of course next step is unhook bat and gently pull all the interior lights free to inspect wires.

Also pull console covers and scrutinize ashtray light and blue/black wires (dash/also linked) and look for melted brown ground wires in the console bundle leading to panel.

I would bet the roof wires are shorted out and this caused the harness failure

BTW this doesn't usually happen unless someone puts in a much bigger fuse...

Alan you are correct sir 
I now have several spare 30 and 10 Amp fuses (note: no 10amp fuses in a 928)!

If your not sure please check your Fuse Panel yourself, this did not need to happen.

The installed Battery is/was incorrect height (no bat cover supplied, thanks 928 International for used cover) is out of the car.

I was told and think it was posted, the interior lighting fuse was removed due to a Battery drain, Ya think! That’s was one hell of a battery drain!

Here are a few Pic’s looks like a red wire is missing (burnt) from the overhead, but the rear hatch was rewired w/ white (larger wires), we will need to pull the “B” pillar cover to check the ribbon and feed back to the CE.

I was about to run a compression check as I only got about a gallon of tan’ish water from the Rad drain and was discoing the Fuel pump fuse and computers when I spotted this mess.

The good:
My 19 yr old son said to me as he was reading off the Fuse values and circuits names said: “I see the more the circuit does like seat motor verses small lights requires a larger fuse”, I said “yes and they have thicker wires that can handle the load, and that is why they use larger fuses”.
Then he asked about all those boxes, I said they are relays.. 

Thanks again all,

Dave
