Default I decided to buy a 928 with 6,000 miles

Many of you may remember the Black 1986 928 with 6,800 miles on the clock listed on ebay several times during the past year at $38,500.

Suffice to say I didn't pay 38k for it, but decided to give this poor car a good home. It's apparently been in garages most of it's life and needs to be shown and enjoyed by the enthusiast community.

It should arrive this week and after some service, will be enjoyed for hopefully for years to come.

Well done. Congrats, man.

More details...
86 straight-up or 86 1/2?
Auto or manual?
LSD?
What are the option codes?

and, of course, the photos...

I thought it was an '86 auto... I could be wrong.

Great job Skipp. I had been in contact with them several times. At one point they told me they had an offer of $30k and I told them to take the money and RUN! They didn't! Hope you got it for even less than that! Though if you didn't get it for less than that, I'll entertain offers over $50k for BLU82!

I liked that car a lot and hoped it would go to a good enthusiast home where it would be well looked after and shown frequently!

Again, congrats on your purchase!

That car is worth every bit of anything within that 28 to 38 span.

If its the same car, I saw a black one with 6600 miles on it on autotrader for $15,000 quite a while ago, then I saw it on ebay selling for $25,000, did you buy this same car? I would have bought it to flip but didn't have the money, good luck!

Congrats! It's as close as you'll get to a new 928.

Wish it could have moved-in with me...

That car is a time capsule ... beautiful. I saved all 136 pics when I saw them, as a reference for how an 86.5 looked from the factory. I don't want to steal the OP's thunder, and maybe he's taking pics right now, but I can post any number of them if it's OK with him.
