Many of you may remember the Black 1986 928 with 6,800 miles on the clock listed on ebay several times during the past year at $38,500.
Suffice to say I didn't pay 38k for it, but decided to give this poor car a good home. It's apparently been in garages most of it's life and needs to be shown and enjoyed by the enthusiast community.
It should arrive this week and after some service, will be enjoyed for hopefully for years to come.

Droooooool. And yes, replace all the fuel lines, but in this case have Roger get you genuine Porsche branded ones, and not the retro kit.
Also, if it has the original tires, they should be dismounted and stored in a dark room. Tires from that vintage will last quite a while. Use modern tires if you want to - gulp,, drive it.

I would venture that your fuel lines are OK,
what kills the Porsche lines is heat and this car has not seen much of it ,
though you can test the lines by trying to spin the hose on the hard section i would figure your OK
BUT to be on the safe side replacement wouldnt hurt since they are old.

Congratulations, that is a new car!!! I think that it's almost impossible to find anywhere another 928 with such a low mileage and in that excellent condition!

I am still married and only recently got the ban on buying more collector cars lifted. She is a keeper. She's suffered through purchases and obsessions with the 86 Alfa Spider, 85 F 308, and 89 930. I've been a good boy lately and was able to get permission this time around

I drive the classics about 1,000 miles per year and keep them garaged and covered, so this car will stay a low mile pristine example for the future. I see myself as the custodian of a unique car.

Another hard to find item is gearbox centering spring. Selector should always be kept at lowest possible resistance meaning between 2-3 or 4-5 depending on model year.
