Default Another engine oil question!

Hi,

I know there are a lot of threads about engine oil, but these one is a little different.
I’ve been using Mobil 1 15w50 for the last 2 years and I’m very satisfied with the engine behaviour, oil pressures, etc. I still have new oil for another change, in the next 2 months or so, but that’s it!
Mobil 1 15w50 is discontinued! I use to buy it from the UK, because here in Portugal it wasn’t available, now it’s not available nowhere in any European country!
So, what are your recommendations? Stick with 15w50 of another manufacturer, although not easy to find here also? Or try a different grade like 20w50 or 15w40?

Thanks for your answers

Regards

stay with 15-50. use a top dyno oil if you want to, just change it after 2-3k miles.
all synthetcs are pretty good these days. I just dont like mobile 1 due to how the viscosity breaks down at high temps on the track. street driving, no issues.

Lots of great oils out there, but if Redline is all you've really got access to, then you're doing just fine.

opieoils.co.uk deliver anywhere in the EU so that should give you some options:

Motul 300V, Millers CFS, or even your preferred Mobil 1 15W50

Hi,

That's where I usually buy the Mobil 1 15w50. I've talked with them and they confirmed that it's discontinued, they only have a small amount of 1 litre bottles.
