strosek ultra S4
thought board might be interested. this just came to market here:
91 928S4 "Strosek Ultra"....31,000km matte black (broker's report does not
indicate whether its respray or bodyclad).
guess the front end treatment that strosek gave these cars was either like or
dislike affair.

Wow, beautiful strosek 928, also same for the alfa, so that is a GTA, what is the new cost of the GTA, and are there other GTA models, what engine & HP? It's a shame alfa left the US Market.

thanks, that was of 147gta we had last posting in japan. when we moved to vancouver had a 964 wtl cab (hence the name).
& above picture of the 147gta is nice indeed
...with our move back to japan in january we are debating car purchase.
1st off parking cost is insane here (in our building US$ equivalent of plus$600/mo.
2ndly cost of owning an older porsche out of sight.
would dearly love an 928 S4, or something like this (there are 2 on the market) & interior -from the factory-gorgeous.
http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/det...ml?TRCD=200002
but if we buy will likely be an alfa 04ish 147gta or late 90's GTV (these is a small block edition 'TB', 2l. 6cyl turbocharged about 210hp produced specifically for italian market - not generally available in europe but imported here. fun to drive & later alfas quite dependable indeed (unlike earlier editions) & reasonable to insure & maintain.
i think alfa will eventually return to n.american market.....i believe their
little cousin - mini compact (fiat 500 series) is there now.
too bad jpy is so strong, lots of very fine cars here, exotics, sports editions, all low mileage & if you buy correctlly long term maintenance records & history of outstanding servicing.
anyway apologies for digressing ....real intent was to show the strosek 928
s4 (& have generally been a fan of all strosek offered)....love the rear on that car, still not sure about the headlight treatment.
cheers

thanks for the alfa info, the video was great, nice little car, a lot of power for a small car, but I would still take the strosek S4, is that finish applied, I mean its a covering, right? This is the second 928 I've seen with it, must be professionally applied?

nissan godzilla & the lambo crowd.
also used of late by many race teams.
needs a pro to apply....you can search your area or other forums here for
"car bodywrap" or "custom full car wraps" for details.
i'm with you if was not a matter of cost (purchase & ongoing) i would do
the 928 or factory modified 968....

Burning Brakes
But that is mainly due to the ridiculous taxes here. Without tax it would be around 39.000 euro, approx 56.000 USD.
Its actuall a great but ridiculous car, which could have only been built in Italy. The styling is pretty extreme, and the power is really at the limit for the front wheels. It is also very stiff and somewhat unpractical in the city, because of its massive turning circle. But it is something different, and I would not want to sell it.
Other GTA models are the 147 (3 door hatchback) and 156 berlina GTA (4 door saloon)
Sorry for making this an Alfa thread
