Default Alarm System Bypass

I am still chasing the no start condition. I am starting to suspect the alarm system. It's 1990 GT, how do I bypass the alarm system to ensure that is not what's preventing the start

If it's aftermarket, the module might be under the dead-pedal. That's where my viper module is.

Install a jumper link between the terminals N11 & Q12 on the CE panel plugs (bottom of the panel) to defeat the ignition disable. This will not terminate an alarm alert (horn/lights).

The alarm wll not defeat the starter - but will ensure no running.

(NB This is not applicable for all years)

Alan,

Why not just check those terminals for continunity with a multimeter, so as to rule out the remote possibility that the alarm is causing the no start problem?

A temporary jumper is just easier to do, 10:1 it isn't the alarm (because it seems it isn't alerting).

Continuity with the circuit powered on is more problematic.
