Default Internally Adjustable Konis - anyone else have this problem?

Hi all,

Looking for some other experiences with internally adjustable Konis. I just got my second set of fronts under warranty. The first set would not adjust and the dust covers would not fit over them. On the new set, the dust covers fit and they adjust but I only get 3 half turns (540 degrees) out of them instead of the 5 half turns that Koni specifies. I did not have this problem with the rears. Has anyone else noticed a difference between the fronts and rears when it comes to the amount of adjustment (or number of half turns). Would love to install these and get my car back on the road but I'll return them if I should be getting 5 turns.

I get 3 1/2 turns on the fronts and have adjusted them several times with out any issues.

My rears adjusted just fine, many other sets I have had in the past..same.

Sorry to hear your ills on this issue...it sucks. I dont understand why Koni cant make them adjustable down the shaft...SOME of theirs are...

I really should have written that my front shocks will adjust 3 half turns (plus a 1/4 turn) or roughly 540 degrees - since edited. The rears would adjust 5 half turns (plus a 1/4 turn) or just over 900 degrees. The Koni documentation specifies 5 half turns for all 8240 series shocks. It sounds like at least one other person only got 3 half turns out of the fronts so maybe I'm not alone. Does anyone know how the adjustment works? Would love to know what's actually happening inside the shock when you turn them CW or CCW.
