Recently my 1985 928S US, AUTO, has been slipping coming off the line.
The RPM's will increase, the car will hesitate, then it will kick into gear.
I know I have a whinny, thumping, torque tube, that I have not tackled yet.
I want to try 2 transmission oil and filter changes before I spend the big bucks my mechanic has quoted me to repair and replace everything.
Has anyone had any success with the Rislone additive or the Red Line synthetic oil?
I have a slight front trans seal leak. Will the synthetic oil make this worse?
Also I have never had my car up on 4 jack stands. Any specific points to place them under?
thanks,

Other then the slipping off the line, is there anything else going wrong?
Dump the fluid and inspect the pan. I suspect you will find metal and clutch bits by the symptom you are describing. If that is the case, a fluid swap isn't going to fix it, it will need a rebuild. Good time to do the torque tube as well.
Put the jack stands under the 4 jacking points behind the front tires and in front of the rear tires. Jack the rear up by centering a floor jack under the rear cross member.

I would suggest getting some Porken Liftbars (liftbars.com) to make life safer under the car.
That said, if you can check your trans fluid first (on the passenger (right) side of the car, in front of the rear wheel, you can see it if you know where to look. I use a mirror). Make sure you have enough. Then after confirming its full, smell the fluid (Dip finger in) . If its dark or burned smelling you may have a rebuild clutch pack in your future.
If not smelly or burned looking, try a filter / fluid change first. THe leaking seal unfortunately may require replacement, the Rislone stuff tends to be very temporary (like really made for car flippers not for people that want to keep/drive the car).

The different transmission additives won't hurt it. I've been using them for a few years. Does it help? Who knows? Mine always has fresh fluid below the front seal. As long as it's not pouring out, I'm in no rush to repair it. As for the metal shavings in the pan. I've seen them in mine. I just cleaned them out, changed the filter, and went on my way. I suppose I'm in for a rebuild in the future, but all transmissions are. If I can replace the fluid/filter, throw in some snake oil, and have this buy me a few extra years of service, I'm going to do it. FWIW, my transmission seems fine at the moment.

I've had good luck with multiple fluid changes and filter changes on the 85 and 89 transmissions.
Bill Ball has reported correcting issues with the same approach on his car, I think using an additive.
