Mine just keeps getting better, I do at least one thing a month.

With the Carputer and a new interior it will look modern, with the blower will have more RWHP than any stock new car (with in reason of course)

And it will continue to look better than 99% of the cars on the road today, and tomorrow.

But I do agree, with a out look like that it is time for yours to go to some one who will keep it up, cause once the desire for a car goes away, the other things almost always follow.

My nickels worth.

Put a wheelchair lift in the back, and you should be able to keep it longer.... say 6 more years?

It's not Kool Aid. There are very few cars out there that look as good as the 928 does, and the ones that do (IMHO the DB9 or a Maserati GranTurismo) I'll probably never be able to afford. Plus, I put few enough miles on mine that it will probably out live me. If I need to replace it, it will be because of an incident of some sort. In which case, I will get another one.

Plus, it's MUCH cooler to drive a nice old car than something new. Old cars reflect your personality in ways new cars never can.

Actually, just get a nice chair that folds easily and is light. Then you can just throw it in back like James does.

Ferrari 575M - as well as keeping a 928 for when the Ferrari breaks down (or when I need to ferry kids) Or maybe a late 550 with a manual gearbox.

One day you'll all put down the Kool Aid.

There is no Kool Aid here ... some of us have Birth Right to these cars.

Wally, myself and a few others are lucky to have both

I am sure some will say they REALLY like the way the car looks, but like the PanAm the ball was dropped in the worst kind of way (almost the polar opposite of the PanAm actually) and there is just no excuse...

Get a Maser GranTurismo or a DB9! Either would be a perfect upgrade and replacement for a GTS...little else would do. Maybe an '01 or newer 911 Twin Turbo...
So what you are saying is you really like the GT-R but just can't quite get used to the looks eh James.

Inevitably, the 928 will fall by the wayside just due to old age. So I've been thinking of what to get next - probably in the next few years.

I'm currently watching prices on previously owned Panamaras

and Audi R8s.

Any other suggestions on cars that come even close to the refinement of the 928 GTS?
Why son't you convert the GTS into a nice lawnmower? Those things seem to be just timeless!

Default Next car...

I agree, the panamera is a big ugly beast, not my idea of a great looking car.

I will probably try to buy Randy's 928, if not, I'll try:

-Somebody else's 90s 928
-Porsche 997
-2003 BMW M5
-Mercedes E63 AMG

Default I just added a tank...

Last year built '91 MB 420 SEL with only 53K miles should be good to go for another 15 years.

Roger even offered me $500 for the beast today

Last boss who has known me forever "man they'll bury you in tha car".

Guess yours seems pretty "new" compared to mine.

The Masersti is beautiful.

The R8 is great but weights a ton (or 2).

Why would you ever need to dump the 928?
