Not only was the hose new ,it came with sealed ends ,the oil (which is also in therefridgerate) is a preserevative that comes fron the factory ,the zinc ,does not last long in stock ,in fact this hose is nearly impossible to find .The hose you received ,also has the factory part# right on it. These come from Stuggart ,Germany with the cosmolene ,(as a protective rust inhibitor) The photo provided with the auction is the item you received ,with sealed caps on the ends ,The ZINC as is seen in the photograph is bright and fresh?
Or are you not capable of cleaning and preping this item for installation?

Usually, I've had good luck emailing the seller when there's been a problem.
This fellow figured that 'no returns' covered everything...and eBay agreed. (grrrr...there goes your 100% feedback, Mr. Man)

PayPal, yes. I've recovered money before through PP.
Unfortunately, nowadays, PayPal resolution = Ebay resolution.

But seriously, get on Ebay chat on help and tell them what is going on and that you are considering leaving Ebay. They will suddenly make it right...even after the fact-and as others said, go to PayPal-even if they are part of Ebay. It's worked for me before.

I went through ebay buyer protection on a chevy rear end I bought that was supposed to be limited slip but when I got it was "open". I contacted seller, he said he had a ls rear he'd ship me and send a call tag for the open one. He then disappeared, I never saw the replacement or call tag. It took months (not days like stated) but ebay buyer protection made it all "right" and refunded me my full purchase price plus shipping. I had to provide a very good description of what was represented and received, and what was stated by seller, to get the ball rolling.

Ken,
The same guy was selling a leather center console, however in his pictures you could not see the stitching. I sent a very polite question asking him about the stitching and perhaps better pictures.
He sent back a rant about how could he be a liar and how dare I question his statement about the leather. He did take extra photographs which showed the stitching but also increased the price to reflect his time in unwrapping the console and taking new pictures.
With an attitude like that I decided not to buy from him - looks like I got that right.
Roger
"I have been asked to add pictures showing the stitching as if there would be a reason to lie this is leather??? I hope the new pictures added clears this up! once and for ALL!"
"There's your proof of stitching , the revised price reflects the time to unpack and photograph ,and repack this item."

Wow, that is lame. Make sure you post detalis about the seller and point him to this thread so he knows other 928 owners are not going to buy from him due to lack of trust and misinformation. What a PITA.
