Anyone ever removed the pressure sensor/senders on the wheel.
I'm having my D90s restored, and to do it right, they want to remove the pressure sensors on the wheels, then replace them and whatever seals are there.
They're prepared to take them to the nearest Porsche Dealer if they have to, but I'm not so sure they'll get any satisfaction there.
At work w/o my WSM, so can't look it up.
Anyone ever done this?
Thanks.

I have re-done 2 or 3 sets. The old black elliptical covers (928 361 201 02) come off by rotating them by hand 90 degrees and prying up - some will likely crack but they're not too expensive, $4 or $5 a piece. New ones just pop on when pushed straight down.
The real hassle is getting the sensor nuts off without damaging them, I have had good luck with using a pair of channel-lock pliers but the proper tools are a pair of the 9273 and 9274 tools, shown below. The last set of wheels I did, someone had put sealant on the nuts (not from the factory that way) and even with the RDK sensor tools I couldn't turn the nuts, so I ended up chiseling some of them off, destroying 2 in the process. Dicscovered after the fact that the nuts are $35 a piece.....
The o-rings (999 707 035 40) need to be replaced and aren't too bad, $2-3 per.
