Windshield washer tank fill tube metal insert removal
Ok I'm going through the washer tank, have it cleaned out and the metal sleeve in the inlet removed. Unfortunately the other piece of the pie (fill tube) is split and leaks.
Fast forward and I now a have a brand new fill tube in hand and think I should remove the metal sleeve in it as well to prevent future rust and potential washer failure. Since it's new and not rusty/partially decomposed, I can't just flex the sleeve with pliers and pull it out in pieces like I did with the tank inlet.
So, looking for ideas on removing the metal sleeve from the new fill tube outlet.
I think I read in one of MrMerlin's posts something about a hair dryer and voodo, but since I'm bald (and beautiful, Baby!) I don't own one. Nor do I own a SawzAll. Maybe a trip to WallyWorld is in order?
Any other techniques I should consider?

nope its easier than a hairdrier ,
if you can boil water you will be good . ,
With hot water dip the end of the fill tube into the water for a few mins,
then slide the metal collar out of the tube,

Easy-peasy! Held it in the boiling water for about 30 seconds, removed from water and let it cool for ~20 seconds, put my finger in, applied a little pressure by bending the last joint on my finger, pulled and the sleeve slid out. No pliers or other tools used. Thanks!
