CL FS: 78 Euro AT, early example #295

My '84 has been living at a friends house and I had to get it inspected two weeks ago and so I went and picked it up and drove it over to the shop. I forgot how nice that car is! I can't believe that car never sold when it was on the market. $9k and needed only a dash cover of some sort, rear brake pads/rotors and the cruise control fixed... UNREAL beautiful burgundy and black interior. SOOOO NICE! Glad it didn't sell frankly!
Thanks Jim D...this is YOUR FAULT BY THE WAY! You will see the car before I do, so be kind to my new baby!

This car is going to be SO SWEET when it is done! Does not look like that will take all that long either. I have already got Robert Budd on the pasha interior and Kevin M will be working on some paint touch ups VERY SOON (should be at his place by noon tomorrow) and then Jim Doerr of 928 Classics will get it for interior install and some mechanical fixes. The PO has been driving the car regularly and picked it up with something like 28k miles on it 13 years ago.
I am looking forward to a little mini-resto on this car to make it oh so nice to drive and play with and maybe even show at some events w/o worrying to much about winning...just being there with probably the earliest 928 (unless Jim shows up with #1 or #6 LOL!)
More pics will follow as progress is made!

Very excited for you James! So much so, seriously considering playing hookie tomorrow.
How cool is it you were able to pull this off?! This has to be the oldest AT 928 in the US. Aside from that, this is just a ridiculously old 928, any way you slice it.
Looking forward to sinking my teeth into this one next month. Now, I just have to finish the one that's in my garage right now...
