Default 56k mile 1991 GT for $13,500

No affiliation and possibly even a scam. However, the listing is in TN and the TN plate is not swirled out in the pics.

There was a guy some time back in Tennessee who had a red GT and a Green 89 convertible. They were both out of bankruptcy sale and had been stored for about 10 years. Both were very low mileage.

I could never get a deal going with the guy and he somehow just disappeared. The red GT here is the same color and year of the car.

If i didn't already have a 928, I prob would have bought that one. Did the 91's have flagship mirrors?

Dang! A good PPI and this could be a great deal!

Yep. That's looking like a '91 with stock mirrors.

Why do the craigslist ads you want to call alway only have an email link, and the stuff you don't want to call only have a phone number. I hate CL, every day, sometimes twice.

*** Does look like a great deal, but no serious interest from me.

Only an hour from me, if someone is genuinely interested and wants me to put some eyes and hands on it.

At $13,500 it's probably only about $10,000 in deferred maintenance etc. from being a well sorted GT.

I got an e-mail back

Car has 56,500 miles. I have replaced both fuel pumps, water pump was replaced at 47000 miles, just replaced coolant. gets changed when oil gets changed every 3500 miles to help extend the life of the pump. Just replaced spark plug wires and installed platinum plugs. Both clutch slave and master cylinders have been replaced. LH fuel control mod just rebuilt. Has new drilled and slotted disc brake rotors and premium pads. Replaced original GT wheels with Turbo wheels from a 2002 Boxter. Original wheels will go with car.

Ben

Sounds like a fuel problem to me. Still a hell of a deal if it has not been hit. But then the guy in Penn wants 9K for a gts that has been put back together. Not bad for a driver.

OT: GTS -- not to put too fine a point on it, since it has been discussed, but "put back together" implies original parts, or being returned to original configuration. That would not be accurate and a newby reading this would be misinformed.
