Power oversteer is EASIER with a slip. With no slip the inside unloaded tire just spins while the loaded outside tire has traction. And the car was far from having a "wipeout" just a bit of power oversteer, real easy to do in a 928.

You just have to counter steer and stay in it a bit to make it look like you meant to do that.

I can attest to how easily that is easy to do in a shark with LSD, especially on a wet track.

One wheeled wonder will just go straight while spinning one of them. Prolly the reason my car is still in one piece.

Did that on my Murfed auto just after I installed it. Tranny kicked down going round a corner, spun out doing a 360 ended up facing the same direction, but on a grass verge. Luckily nobody too close, drove away with my tail between my legs. Took me a couple of days to clean the seat.

Good thing there was a turn lane right there or he would have been jumping a curb from a VERY BAD angle!!! BTDT, well, I didn't jump a curb, but I have had plenty of experiences like that in my 928! Some of them EVEN ON A RACE TRACK! LOL!

That very brave (foolish?) pedestrian got a great picture of Shark under power pointing straight at him.

Ah ha ha haaa...

At a 4 way stop everyone stopped at the same time. It became one of those every body waive the other one and nudging but no-one going things. So, I just jumped out there and made my left turn. Wasn't sure whether anyone else was going to go so I got a bit exuberant with the throttle and ended up oversteering around the corner sideways, but I did counter steer, went into and stayed in the correct lane. Well, the fourth car back was a cop and I got pulled over. When I explained the nobody would go from the stop frustration thing he let me off the $400 reckless driving ticket.

So not even close to wiping out. Not even close....Never felt that the car was out of control, just having some fun....plus giving my father who was in the car with me a Father's Day/Birthday gift for his 65th birthday. In one scene my father is looking at me and I just have a big smile on my face.

I ment to do the power slide but got a little too much into it because the tires still had some excess tire shine on them from the detail the morning before or I would have been good. More room and I would have stayed on the gas and probably got the correction off the countersteer but just let off the gas instead then light tap once countersteer had taken over.

I believe I have LSD in my car. 81 with a comp package.

I also concur with the LSD......at that speed with that much steering input it is VERY easy to swing a 928 around...... BTDT....sure the open diff is great for smoke shows....but hard to get sideways.... here is a classic example of a 928 sideways

http://www.youtube.com/user/icemang1.../2/Hv9Zgpozl8U

The rumbles make it hard to "feel" what the tail is doing....you can see the counter steer before you hear the 1st slide....

I'm just saying you could have really made some smoke and kept in it if there was more room.
