Can you provide a technical description of why it's helping you and why that's better than the later design? I spent some time telling why it's not.

I should count the hours of track time I had before grenading that engine. Then again, I wasn't using your driving style on your tracks so the comparison isn't valuable.

The "other mods" is the 3/8th pan spacer. OB pan and spacer is what I run and what is working for Sean and I. I am not an engineer and don't fully understand how the oiling system works, however Kevin Johnson is and he said the early pan design was one of the best factory wet sumps he has ever seen. Doc Brown is testing the early pan now too

Other than MK, the most reliable track driven 928's I know of either run an drysump, S4 + accusump, or the OB pan setup like I do......

Clearly we have different opinions on this.....bottom line is we both are after the same goal...928 engines that can survive on track for many hours of use!!!!

Sure I have a corvette engine in the garage...but I don't plan on installing it until this engine runs out of life
