Stumbled onto this 944/951 site that has electrical harness information I can use for the 928.
(site also hosts the 944 WSM, very nice!)

Good cutaway picture of Bosch AMP connector, which is a standard on fuel injectors.
Has anybody utilized the supplier KayJay for electrical components? They have a very appealing selection .
I needed a source for silicon harness covering, for TXL wire and connectors, and tools. http://www.kayjayco.com/catPConnectors.htm

I tried ordering from them last fall, but could not get their online ordering process to work and so ended up going with Ballenger for the connectors. KayJay was competitive on prices though, and had some nice options.
If you are not dead set on real boots, I found that self fusing silicon tape worked nicely to make boots around the connectors.
Wiring Products was a pleasure to deal with for wire. Their "sales" have been the same since the fall though (if my memory serves me).
