Default S2 Near RDU Today

Nice meteormetallic S2 with flats and a prominent exhaust note, going north on Airport crossing I40. About 2pm local time. Nice car! Anybody here on the list?

You could tell it was a 84-86 ROW 16V (twin-dizzy) from the exhaust sound?

Impressive.

thanks for the invite...
I normally go 70-40, but 64, then i think 791 down to goldsboro is only 10-15 min longer.. and fewer radars along the route...... sounds like a plan if i come up............

Hell guys, I usually come from 55 to 1 from around the Fucuay area. Could have made a decent get together.

He may have been airborne. The take off and landing approach lanes for RDU go right over I-40. Now that would be most impressive, especially considering the overcast conditions today.

Steve, if you come up, you need to check out Rixter's 88 NachtGrun/GrauGrun... I got a peek at it up at SITM 2010... Definitely a unique 928.

Sorry for the delayed reply. I was just driving into RDU to catch a flight home. Guessing some on the S2 designatoe, may just have been an S. Sounded like headers or at least some louder mufflers as he went by. He was definitely on it, based on bot the sound and the acceleration. Ans yes, it would have been a really neat trick to identify the car, and describe the sound, had I been airborne already. I was headed over to top up the tank before dropping the rental car off.

I have another project in Rockingham, the follow-up to the software simulator project I was working on in Maryland that let me attend renzy last fall. I'll be in that area on and off for the next couple months as I finish chunks of code and have them ready to test and put in service. If the lights in the southest corner of the state dim a few times, blame me.

Haha, it's supposed to be Fuquay, as in Fuquay Varina. The auto-correct on my phone has been working overtime recently!
