Agreed, and many do not sell.

Which is probably just as well, as it likely keeps many of us from making rash decisions that we'll regret later.

I am secretly so happy that I still have my S4... And I enjoyed every tenth of a mile of the 1800 mile trek to SITM this year. It makes sense to sell it, but I am much happier keeping it.

David, very happy to hear the wife is doing well... I need to stop down sometime and see ya'll since I missed SITM this year....

this GTS is one of the cleanest 928s I've seen, across all MYs, and David has spared no expense in making it as perfect as possible, if I was in the market for red GTS it would be at the top of my list and the price is right for the condition

as an aside.... if you decide to liquidate the mustang CALL ME

Rixter,

Glad to hear from you on here.

The Mustang is going through some mid-life changes right now......

Dave sell the boat and keep the GTS.

Best of luck with getting the finances back on track. You're still young and you have plenty of time to get things back in order.

I saw the car at SITM and it is stunning. Both exterior, interior and engine are in excellent condition.

Certainly one of the nicest, most well maintained GTS models ever...seen it a couple times . Red is faster, my 1st was a Red S4......life is about making choices.....Good Luck with everything and if there is anything we can do.....

Cheers..hope to see you up here at Frenzy again..

David,

I'm glad to hear that your wife's health is in order. I have fond memories of meeting the two of you and your kids.

You were responsible for getting me my S4. Somehow it wouldn't seem right for you not to be in a 928.

Best of wishes to you and your family.

just how I'd prefer it... stripped down and ready for a proper build
let me know when you're ready to put her back together, I'll find a migraine solution for a few hours (though I may have to bunk at your place overnite)

That sure looks like a unibody construction on that mustang - hard to believe that is how they were made in 67!

I don't see any mention, so I have to ask, it has original rods?

You can bet that with something of that nature, which requires full disclosure, David would have made mention.

How many GTS ads have you seen that within that ad you'd find, this GTS is sporting its orignal rods.

Interesting question though....

How many GTS's have had the originals changed out?

Maybe two and one of them is here.

I agree with Sean, I doubt there are a dozen GTS's in the US (maybe the world) that have had the engine dismantled just to change the rods!!

Thus, I think it was a valid question.

Yep, most seemed to have had the engines(shortblocks) replaced by Porsche vs just replacing the rods. Last one I saw, the receipt from Porsche for replacing the shortblock was $18K plus (can't recall ther exact numbers).

..and yes I agree it is a valid question. If I was buying a 93 or early 94, it would be one of my first questions. Not a deal breaker, but I would still want to know.
