Default lower rear night running light dead...?

Hello, I get a "Tail" warning and I check it out, my rear right lower tail light is out. I replaced it with a new one and it still does not work. I checked all the fuses from 30-all : ) and found them all in working order.

Now that I think about it I should have to checked to see if the receptacle you place the light bulb in was getting juice or if it is bad.

Anyone run into this before...?

thanks...

Hi, what year 928 do you have and is this a euro model?
By you saying right rear "lower" light I'm thinking you are speaking of the Rear Fog light, if so it will only come on when the Fog Lights are on.

If you're talking about the side marker light behind the wheel arch, I had the exact same thing. Turned out to be the wire connector under the rear carpet. It had an loose connection; I wiggled it into place and it works fine now...could be the issue.

Sorry, I have a 88 S4 US model, and the light I am referring to is not the fog light nor the side marker light it is part of the main lighting when you turn on the night running lights, its the light that sits right below the right turn signal light. Small bulb, each side has one.

Yep, check the socket then and look for any water damage.

Right, the sockets corrode rather often.

+1 on corrosion.

Had to replace both front and rear on drivers side.

What I did was to buy complete markers with broken lenses but very good bulb sockets for $2.00 each on Ebay. They were both for the front, but the bulb sockets themselves are the same front and rear.

Also, repalce both sides with the same bulb, sometimes new bulbs have a different amperage compared to old and it may work but still throw the tail light - light.
