wow. very nice looking car. If the service history is as represented and up to date, a one owner GT (or 5 speed S4? - I think any 5 speed 91 is by definition a GT), at that price sounds pretty good.

That is the same place i bought mine from. The car was in good shape but the airconditioner wasnt working right. He told me they would fix it...which probably was them just charging the system. of course when i got it the head unit needed to be replaced.
not saying they are shady, just make sure you know what you agree to.

Did they fix the damage on the passenger rear? Watched the auction, they just pump them all though.

Interesting ... so does this say the dealer bought the car at auction in May for $9,250 and now trying to get $26k at retail? Other than cleaning it up, do you suppose they invested anything in servicing the car, correcting any problems, etc.?
Assume it sells around $21k or $22k, that's a pretty nice margin.

wow again. Power to he net, finding that info. Sure changes my perspective. I now look at that engine bay a little bit differently - I'd say maybe needs a complete top end refresh? As an auction bought car, the history now becomes very suspect, since there is no way the selling dealer knew the owner. I'd want to see all of the receipts for hat car, and for that price, should pass a ppi with flying colors.

Just like any biz...
When you can buy low sell high.
The positive indicators for us more positive write ups start to take effect and drive the upwards market value for the later years and eventually all models.
If the car gets a good PPI it doesn't matter how much the dealer bought it for the new owner gets to enjoy a unique vehicle at I would say currently fair market value.

Three Wheelin'
Well stated Larry!
Any activity that 1) maintains 928 values 2) keeps and returns a 'blemished' 928 back on the road and 3) generates n+1 928 owners in this world......GREAT
Curious if it was a former RL'r that might comment on the car in question to boost confidence of its future owner(s).

The ad says;
"Owner, non-smoker with all the books and manuals. Meticulous service history done by the selling Porsche dealer."
Should it read;
"We picked this baby up at auction for $9K, fixed the body damage and she's all yours for $26K"
Would we view the car differently?
I sure would.
It makes both statements by the dealer to appear to be straight lies.
Buyer beware.
