Default Problem with Sun Visor Reinstall

I just got my front sun visors back from Rob Budd of 928 Leather. I had him cover them in leather, and they look great. Only thing is I'm having a problem reinstalling them. The plastic clips on the headliner don't match up with the loops on the visors any more-it's like the visors are an inch longer than they were before. I can't push them onto the hinge (the part that secures to the headliner with 3 screws) any further. The leather covering may be marginally thicker than the old leatherette, but it can't be that much. I don't see any sign that the headliner is warped or out of place-any ideas as to what's different?

IIRC the hinge portion of the mount is just a pin that slips into the sunvisor. Try pushing or pulling the sunvisor on the pivot pin until everything lines up.

I have the pins pushed up to the bend-they can't go any further. Too bad i didn't pay attention when i took them out.
