Get the stuff and I will drive down to Torrance to help you. I am no expert, but I think I have a pretty good idea how to do this. Michael

I just wanted to also post Leperboy's thread on his refresh, as it definitely got me started: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...pressions.html

Nice job, I well remember how long that project was, especially all the cleaning!

For those that do not know, I bought this car in May and I have only started and moved it. She actually ran fine, but the car is in LA now to have a pro do the timing belt. Since the last known change was at 38,000 miles, I did not start it after the work was done. I did not want to risk it.

Thanks.
I know you've already fixed this but in case anyone else reads the thread, yes the cable is repairable. The connectors are Bosch "Junior Power Timer" 3 pin, male and female. I got a pair through EFI Express in New Hampshire for about $12/ea. If you can get the made up harness it might be worth doing but if you can't (I couldn't) they're pretty easy to fix. On mine the male end was so badly aged it just fell apart so it only took a few minutes to run the new rubber boot over the bonded pins, feed the pins into a new connector and slide the boot over it. No need to take the old pins off the wires, just make sure the prongs that seat in the connector body are bent up slightly so the wires snap in and seat to the new connector.

I decided not to replace the female side on my harness because it was fine, but the new connectors are much easier to use so I almost did it anyway. In the end I decided since the female plugs into the TPS and is under the intake, it wasn't worth making it easier to unplug, it will never be easy to unplug
