Lookin good! Intake refreshes quickly put you into WIAIT hell LOL.
Not sure if you did this or not, but it is a good idea to spray your bare alloy intake parts with a very thin layer of that yellowy green zinc cromate primer. Helps with the adhesion of the engine enamel.

I had no intention of refinishing the parts, but once you get started.... Unfortunately, I did not use any adhesion promoting primers other than what was pictured. Hopefully, it will hold up okay.
Does anyone know the size of the allen head that holds the CPS? Thanks.

Refresh complete. Thank you for all of the input, especially Landseer and Mrmerlin.
I had a little trouble figuring out the vacuum line replacement in that I mis-read Roger's line replacement diagram. The most time consuming part was stripping the intake parts for paint, cleaning of the valley and waiting for parts that I did not know I needed (CPS and TPS wire to be exact). The injector pintle caps were not cracked, but I won't be surprised if I am pulling those tired injectors out and replacing them with either cleaned and serviced ones or new Ford ones. I won't know for sure until the timing belt is changed and I can really hear her run. Next time, I would at least order an injector seal kit as they are cheap and not too time consuming (I did the seals (w/Genikz) on the 1980 injectors.
My last post on this car's progress was waaaaay optimistic, as my limited exposure to the car and the underestimation of the time this intake refresh would take me. I am not sure what you 928 specialists charge to do an intake refresh, but I am sure it is a lot of money - for both time and materials. Although, I am sure it is a lot less time than I needed to spend. As it happens, I put in about 30 hours on just this small part of the motor along with about $800 in parts, etc.
After the timing belt and wp are done and the car passes smog, I will be adding Porken chips and 87 FPR, smog pump delete, and exhaust work.
It is not perfect, but it looks way better than before. Under that intake, except for injectors, everything that needed replacement was put right with new.

Thanks. The rattle can stuff is definitely suspect. If it does start to peel in short order, I can always pull those organ pipes off and send them off or just polish them and be done with it. I would definitely pay someone to at least remove the finish if not do the whole thing.
