Thanks to everybody that responded.

Turns out that he did use a sealer on the plug. He knew I had extra back plates, so going back to a distributor wasn't a concern with this back plate.

Rather than welding a bead around the plug, he used some hi tech bonding agent. I forgot what the name was. Maybe ToyoBond??

Makes sense, since it doesn't leak overnight, turned upside down with the plug at the bottom.

He said to forget about removing the plug. It's never going to happen. The screw in the side was simply there to hold the plug compressed into position, while the bonding agent cured.

If it's going to leak anywhere, it would be at that screw. I'll coat it with RTV and use a copper crush washer.

Again, THANKS to everyone.

Back on schedule.

Engine goes in on the 13th.

Hot-Jet forgot to weld the new wide band bung on one of my headers when they went in for coating.

Hope they get it back to me before the 13th, otherwise, delay of game.

Should be running and debuging / tuning the new EMS by the 20th.

Hoping to dyno before the 4th of July.
