Default another ac help question, but different problem

after i finished my tb/wp job, my ac will not come on, i also do not seem to have any power to my entire hvac console.

I push the ac button and it's light goes out, i thought it used to turn blue or something when the button was depressed. When it is out the light stays on.. also after being in a few minutes it pops out on it's own.
The other issue is that the blower does not work. The fan **** does nothing.

the rear ac **** works.

i have checked fuze number 6 and it is fine....

any thoughts (also checked the red wire that i had to disconnect to do the wptb job and it is connected.

Do the clutch on the compressor engage when the engine is running and the A/C button is pushed?

Is the rear A/C unit actually blowing cold air or is just the fan operating?

The Compressor clutch wire is contained within the wiring harness that runs across the front of the engine. As this harness is moved during the TB renewal it may have shorted out, broken and may have burnt out the small relay mounted on the HVAC control head PCB?

Do you have a wiring diagram for the Air Conditioning System?

no, i do not have the diagram, i had a digital wsm, but that pc crashed, so i no longer have access to it.
i am trying to find the website i downloaded it from... it had jag wsm's also, the site was something like connell.org, etc...

anyhow, the compresssor does NOT come on. I will check the connection of the red wire again. the "sheath" that the two wires connect in was very tight when reconnecting the splice, maybe it has not connected well..

The action of your AC button is odd. The button does not pop out in any normal operation.

Have you dona any work in the dash lately? The plug connectorbehind the button often hets pulled off during radio work, for instance.

"The action of your AC button is odd. The button does not pop out in any normal operation."

I wish. Well, agreed, not "normal operation", but mine will pop the button into the rear seats every now and then. The light in the button should be off when out, on when in.

Try moving the lever to DEF and see if the blower runs. If so, replace the blower relay. You can temporarily swap it with the DEF relay or other "53" relay.

i have not been into anything at all in the dash... AC worked beautifully before the tbwp job.
i cannot get the front blower to come on at all, i have checked the #6 25a fuse and it is good...

i just got home from work and will be going out to double check the red wire that was messed with during the wptb job...

well, i solved the problem.. but don't know how i did it...

i took out the fuse and relay and put them back in, and unhooked the red wire to the compressor, and plugged it back in... wallla... nice cool ac blowing....

i am guessing dirty contact somewhere
