The point that you indicated is a front cover bolt on point, and shouldn't have any way to leak.
The cover bolt hole is down below the locator pin that the green arrow points to.

Brian,

Look again, this is a different bolt you are pointing too.

The one that you claim is leaking should not go all the way through. In other words, defective pump.

You can use thread sealant, or silicone to plug that leak....

Bill,

The bolt you are thinking of is not what is leaking. There are a few more bolts that go through the plastic to hold that cover down.

Front cover also has two bolts at the top, that hole is one of the places it bolts to.

Here's a pic of the back. It looks like there is a casting mark where the hole is. I wonder if it was really thin and just started to weep. I appears to be quite possible.

Where you say it is leaking, the other side is that dimple.

OK, maybe all/most of us are a bit confused as to which bolt is leaking. I agree the M8 bolt Brian thinks is leaking is not a bolt that goes through to the gasket surface. Brian, either the pump shaft seal is allowing coolant to squirt in the direction of that bolt or ???

Okay after looking at a pump I have at the house....the bolt in question that IS leaking should not access water...the only way it can is if there is a crack in the pump housing..... Or the water is coming from somewhere else and it just looks like the bolt....

So I ordered a new waterpump today.....better safe than sorry!!
