For those thinking of getting a dash mat....

Is the pod cover a separate piece? Looks like it might be in the pictures. IIRC, most of my glare comes from the pod, so if you weren't a big fan of the entire dash pad, perhaps you could get by with just the pod portion.
I've previously used a black terry-cloth hand towel placed across the pod and onto the dash with good results.

All the other shades I've tried just didn't fit right - even the more expensive, firmer shades always fell down on one side and left a huge area for sun to get in.

I can now have my windows cracked/half open and not have to worry. The old window shades I had would blow out of place and let sun in if I left the window down at all. I tried the suction cups (which always left a lil' circle on the window), jamming the bottom of the shade against the window with empty paper towel rolls and lots of other tricks to try and get the old shades to stay in place and it never worked that good and took too much effort every time I got in and out of the car.
It's much cooler now when I get in the car due to having a breeze pass through + the coverage the new shade gives....and it's just so quick and easy to use. Glad I got it.
P.S. - I figured out that those "bumps" are there for when it is pulled across. They balance the handle thing and keep the left side of the shade straight up in the window so sun doesn't creep in the top or bottom due to the handle part getting bumped or something (like wind coming in the open window). Without those bumps, the handle could move left to right, which would move the shade on that side and possibly snap it off of the clip it goes into.
As you can see in the pic below, they acts as stoppers once the shade is clipped in. Took this dummy having to look at it once it was clipped in to get the design of the thing.
