Then straight to Alcoa, probably get there about 4ish. one thing I want to do this year is the dragon on Thursday evening.
While the Dragon gets all the good press, there are other roads in that area that are every bit as good, if not better.

Cades Cove and Little River road come to mind, it is the only place I have ever seen a caution sign for a corner that showed the corner as a circle.

I am aiming to be there sometime around 3-4. I am leaving at 3am and the drive is about 12 hrs. As I recall from last year, you like the spicy salsa right?

Depends on how much Tequila I have had, but more a mild type guy.
Pretty sure Paul will have a case or so with him, and for folks that did not try it last year, his wife, the Salsa princess makes the best salsa in the world.
For real.

Same route as previous years...

If you are interested in driving the dragon, here's the route from the hotel to the end of the dragon. When you get to Deal's Gap, take a picture, and turn around. Repeat route in reverse order.

See you in a few days!

Well Brian's car is on the road and sounding great, got it back to change the oil and tighten up an upper rad hose, but still running a bit hot (scraching head), On mine I need to fill up both tanks and check tire pressure.

Just a suggestion AO, but have you thought about going across the top of the Park along the "Little River Road"?
It really is a great road, follows the river, ups and downs.

Greg, are we set with the route?
Is Dave gonna actually finish Rhudy's car on time? Is Dave's own car ready?
Is Tony coming out? Murph?
Is Kurt's car gonna make it all the way to Banner Elk?Can someone pick up Lorelei?
Anybody gonna hit the Tail of the Dragon Thursday night?
Is bigmac going to get his car? Am I helping with that?
Dr. Ed coming out?
Lotsa questions here people. I need some answers.
I sure hope so.

I've been test driving my car pretty hard the last couple weeks and all systems go!

Sears couldn't figure out how to align my car. I'm leaving my new fronts behind and hope the following pre adjust specs are good enough.

I'm carefully packing a variety of tools and spare parts just in case.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in Alcoa on Thursday.

I've driven that road before. It is a nice road. But for some reason I love the Cherohala and the roads along the south a bit better, so that's what I'll be taking. Everyone is free to take whichever roads they fancy. We can compare notes (and smiles) in Banner Elk.
