My real first ride was sitting on my fathers lap and steer his 1960 Beetle while delivering the mail to the farmers in the "polder" (land where used to be water). This must be 1966 or 1967.

Here's me in my (well, my parents) '81 Z-28 from November 1984.
It was about that time that I became smitten with the 928. IIRC, Risky Business had just been out and not long thereafter my next door neighbor's adult son acquired a new '85 32V 928S - guards red over black, I could hear him whenever he came over to see his mom and I would always run out to see/hear the car. It would be 14 more years before I could get one of my own. Two GTs later, here I am.

I was given a 1959 bug to get the cows with when I was 13
no pics of it, this internet pic is much nicer.
My second car was a baby blue bug with a 8 track and in the winter i had to scrape the front window as I drove.
No pictures of it either
a 75 cutlass supreme and a 89 dodge power wagon through the teen years and at least a doz other cars/trucks to now.

1967 Buick Riviera. 430 wildcat V-8. My grandfather bought it new, was passed down to me when I was 16....and I still have it 25yrs later! Needs a restoration, almost 200k miles on it, engine and transmission never removed or rebuilt. Never in an accident, had an original color repaint done in the mid-90's. Still has the ring I burned into the rear seat from the cigarette lighter...I was 4 at the time.
