Default Another DE Down, come join me.....

Well just put another great DE behind me. Anyone on the fence should at least come out and see what they are about, the "Old" 928 can handle it. Of the 185ish people I signed up there were (2) 928's, sometimes I'm the only one.

Running with a lot of faster/newer and slower/older cars and it was a great time had by all. Got the cobwebs out and cleaned up my lines at the glen a bit. Great big track with a ton of history and fun elevations changes in/out of the turns. Just wore a litte more off the brake pads and tires, but they are replaceable anyway. No major incidents since everyone was working well together.

If you're on the fence at least attend as a guest and see what its about, most fun you can have with your clothes on, and you'll save those speeding tickets. You'l look very differently at speeding down the highway..... that's for lightweights...

My youngest is graduating HS in a few weeks and this fall will be the first in 20 years I won't have obligations every week. I'd love to give it a shot. Can you let me know when one is coming up for signups? I know absolutely NOTHING about it and I'm a little nervous I would mess up someone else's car/experience by being such a noob.

Check out our website, we run the best DE there is...... I'm bias of course, but just ask Gary Knox......

We have one in October that the registration is starting today for. check out www.niagarapca.org and click on the Driver Education Link.

Always be cautious, but never worry about your first DE, most (especially in the Novice Group) need to drive their cars home. Its only as fast as you want it to be.

Clearly you have not run with LSR and HCR and Maverick here in Texas! WE, OF COURSE, run the best DE's EVER!! We actually have a GREAT instructor corps and we run mostly at Texas World Speedway BABY!!! 2.9 miles 15 turns one LONG straight with a wicked fast corner at the end! Oh YEA!!! If you are REALLY, REALLY good in a 928 you will be over 100 three times...I can almost do that! I can in my race car anyway.

New folks at our DE's will probably have to go for at least 4 full weekends before they are driving alone. The instruction is really phenomenal. You usually will have different instructors each time you go out so you can learn something new in a new way from a different person which is also really nice. I have over 20,000 instructor miles racked up at the various tracks all over TX.

I will confirm what Curt says about Niagara Region's DE's at the Glen. I've run several of them (and am booked for their advanced run group DE in June).

They have another full DE, including beginners, on Oct 10 & 11, which is a beautiful time in the southern NY, northern PA areas. Registration is now open for that one, as I just registered.

See ya' Curt.

Gary--
