Radiator - Vertical Foam

Radiator - Vertical Foam
When I removed my radiator, I saw foam missing from the 2 vertical supports which PET calls "linings" - P/N 928 501 811 02 (Left) & 928 501 812 03 (Right). Since the foam looks to serve as either a contact or air barrier (or maybe both) between the radiator plastic and the "lining" metal I was thinking it should be replaced while I have access to it. I did a search, but nothing came up.
I was wondering if anyone has done this, and what was used. I did a quick Amazon search, and came up with this as a possible alternative: http://www.amazon.com/DENSITY-FOAM-P...6164619&sr=8-1
Thanks,
Dave

Dave,
Any kind of soft foam tape will work, it's just there to keep the air going through the radiator, not around it. I used whatever the hardware store had for weatherstripping, worked fine.

The foam seal provides for air flow control.
I replaced this foam on my 90' S4 several years ago using a adhesive backed insulating foam that I purchased at Home Depot. Not much of a cost savings on my part, as the Porsche replacement parts in foam are probably very inexpensive.

Excellent, thanks for the added tip. Have to swing by an ACE for some metric bolts anyway, so it works out nicely. Thanks
