Try this:

It's called "Pet7.1 Anyone using this?". Go down about 7 post and follow the directions.

be aware, win7/64 does not like PET7.1 (it does run on win7/32)
There is a PET7.0 that works great on win7/64.

Let's assume that you are running Windows XP or Windows 7 and that you downloaded the first set of links.

ITEM 1 - You need to know where they were saved.

ITEM 2 - You need WinRAR. This is a compression/extraction program. It puts the four files back together as one original compressed file, and allows you to recover the original file(s) as they were before they were compressed.

From the other thread:
If you don't have a rar file extractor download and install free 30 day Trial version of WinRar 2.92

http://www.win-rar.com/index.php?id=970&dl=wrar392.exe

Click on the above link, and download the executable file (the one called "wrar392.exe"), then once the download finishes, run it (by choosing "open" in the download window once the download is finished) and follow the prompts to install it.

After WinRAR is installed, open "My Computer" by double-clicking on the icon on the desktop (if it is there), or using the menu from the Start Button.

Navigate to the folder where the four PET files were saved.

Double-click on the first file. WinRAR will open it. Inside WinRAR double click on the file called "setup.exe", and follow the prompts to install PET (these are in Russian, so (as the post says) look for the > symbol on a button on each screen).

The rest of the guidance in post #22 in that other thread seems easy enough to follow (even of you don't read Russian).
