Default Kiwi liftbars ... and perfect timing

I finally got around to getting some liftbars made up locally (pic 1).

Checked the fit - perfect (pic 2).

Wait ... something doesn't belong in this photo. That giant pool of fluid perhaps (pic 3)?

Yep, with an impeccable sense of timing, something around the transmission (pic 4) has decided sometime in the last couple of days that ATF should be on the garage floor rather than in the transmission.

Optimist's view:
  • Lucky I didn't fire off the TB/WP/fuel-lines order yesterday.
  • First half of an ATF flush is done.

Nice result

Its worth buying a rattle can of primer and giving them a once-over.

Neat looking welding - Wish I could wel that neat but I suppose I could if I welded more than once per year. Good luck with the ATF.
