Chris and Tom M, EXCELLENT explanations! Tom, true, Original Body is quite boring but gets the point across.

Denny, if you had and OB front fender for your car you would sure be pissed that you had to drill some holes in it to mount your bumper. Would be even worse if you had an OB car and got some front fenders, rear fenders or rear quarter glass for it from an S and found out how different those parts are.

Also the real key for me is that a layman can look at an OB and an S and say, those look different...one has spoilers and one doesn't. Of course we know the difference abound between all the different S cars, as well as the different years of the OB's, but for simplicity sake (yea right!) to a casual observer a 78-82 (non-competition pkg car from '81/'82 mind you) don't look like an S car from any year.

Those of us here also tend to break the S cars down even further as mentioned by Tom M... S, S2, S4 and then of course the body change again to S4...

Back ON TOPIC...did anyone check this car out? With no interior pics that could be a wreck, but it sounds like it might well be a pretty nice car...

Could be a good car, but this was for sale when I was looking last summer. Same story about moving, too.

The story never seems to be accurate. If the cars are in good condition I don't see why anyone would get rid of one unless it money troubles
