I have to agree with the votes for yellow...it would look fantastic peeking out from behind the wheels on your blue car.

Silver on that blue car would look good.

Bertrand,
Here are a couple.
Your wheels dont really show too much caliper, so it wont be as noticeable.

Yellow is GORGEOUS on blue...just like the pics show!!! Though you will hardly see them through those D90 wheels so it is almost pointless to bother painting them AT ALL...

Here is my opinion from the 911 side. There have been only 2 yellows and they mark something significant.
One is in the blue 993TTS up there in Post #20 The Yellows came on the 182 1998 993 Twin Turbo S
Two is lately from 2005 marks the PCCB Ceramic composite $9000 option on a lot of GT cars some turbos and even less standard Carreras S and Carreras. You can use that if you like it and dont care what other Porsche guys think. I am not posing any position just telling you what yellow means to alot of Porsche dudes.
Red is Pretty much the Carrera S option and means alittle bit more than the standard black. It was also the color of the BIG REDS on the 993 TT (and the C4S Carreras)

My opinion is the Reds. It has some significance but I doubt anyone will every give you any gruff like you might catch with the yellows. Your 928 is beautiful and it deserves something other than black.

OG, most of the 911 guys don't even consider a 928 a Porsche so it probably won't even register on their meter.

I do, and there was a time in my life when it was the #1 Porsche. Its as much a Porsche as a 911.
Moreso than the Cayenne, 944, and 924.
There are 928s that are better than the most variants of the plain 996 911 (not including the GT3, GT2,
and the Twin turbo with the GT1 dry sump motors)

Thank you very mutch everybody for your comments and suggestions.
Thanks Chuck for the link too.

I think I would like to use a color "closer" to the 928. Like red or black. Will see.
I'm not sure with the yellow...

James, you're right we don't see them mutch through the Design 90, but while I got them removed, I tought it would be a good time to clean and repaint them.
And, when I will decide to change my wheels someday, they might be more visible. I might go with a set of Cup 2.

Keep posting comments and suggestions.
Thanks again.

I did mine in Red and behind the stock 'manhole' cover wheels you cannot see them without really looking.

Then I put the turbo twists wheels on......wow nice caliper effect. Cant wait for the Carrera III rims.

With a blue car Id go with black or red......yellow not for me.

Then again Id change the miirors and wheels to give the car a modern look.

Not sure I agree with painting the calipers on the car, but apparently this guy did it.
