Looking forward to meeting others. I will be there early, about 7-ish. You can't miss me, I look like a cross between Shrek and Matthew McConaughey, more Shrek, less Matthew.
I'll be in the Zyclamrot car.
See you then.... oh, I just noticed I will need to bring a jacket, only supposed to get to 103 tomorrow.

You don't look a thing like Matthew McConaughey....you have much longer arms.
Sounds like a great time. The zyclamot car IS beautiful.

Well, as expected, we had a good turnout of 928's and a great time meeting new friends and seeing old ones. Because of Rennlist, you already feel like you know a lot of the guys a little, but it's even better to meet them in person. Don't know how many guys I heard say to Dan, "Oh, you're the guy with the horns in your avatar!"
What a pleasure to meet Joe and Dee who drove all the way down from Vegas, Dan and Laura and their gorgeous Zyclamrot car, Kevin and his GT who drove down from Prescott and of course Rob from Prescott Valley who braved the heat in his Black 928 w/o A/C who stirred us up enough to have another GTG. Thanks again for that!
Also had a few "locals" show up, Richard and Dave. My apologies for anyone I'm forgetting. Also had another new guy, Ryan, looking for a good 928 mechanic for his 85 or 86 Euro. Can't wait to see that car too. I was a little surprised at the great turnout of cars that showed up despite it being just a tad warm out (was about 100 deg. by 10:30 am), I would guess there were well over 100 VERY nice cars. Here's a few photos I took after a lot of the other cars had already started leaving. I was so busy talking with everyone, I almost forgot to take any pictures. I think I caught all the 928's except Rob's from Prescott Valley who left a little earlier.

Great cars and great people!
Nice to be able to meet people in person. I was able to meet Rick, Dan, Joe, Rob (and their wive's). I was caught-up talking and viewing that I forgot I brought a camera until I was getting in my car to leave!
Thanks for the pictures, Rick, and good to meet y'all!

Had a great time! It was a little warm by the time we left mid morning. Lots of great examples of cars there and no perceived bias one way or another regarding their differences.
Finally got to prove that indeed I do have a much better half and as others will attest our little Bonnie is proof of cloning or asexual reproduction, thank God she looks, thinks and acts like her Mom.
Dee and Joe, thanks so much for making the trip over from Las Vegas. Always good to see you two. Rob and Rick, thanks for keeping the interest alive for this event. I can see how this is probably twice as big during the Winter and Spring when the temps are a "little" lower.
One of the things Rick and I discussed just before we left was the idea of coordinating a trip out of the Valley up to the mountains, perhaps Flagstaff, later this Summer as a way to escape the heat. Perhaps take the scenic back roads up through Prescott, Jerome, Sedona, etc., before getting high enough that the temps were cooler and the air thinner. Any interest in such an event from the Desert Gang? If yes I can help coordinate. We can call it the "Run From the Sun Fun Run" or (Beat the Heat 928 Meet) or something like that. I'll start another Poll so we can measure the level of interest.

Humm - I remember our last trip to Jerome - long ago - a brisk pace up Yarnell Hill - and the police chase that ensued... all ending with nothing more than warnings - and lunch at the Jerome Grand Hotel.
I think the Police were waiting at the bottom to chase people going too fast downhill - we took them by surprise by doing it backwards.. took them about 15 minutes to catch us by which point we were doing 35 in a 35 zone!
We should do it again! maybe minus the chase part...
