Oh yea, we're out here! ...but a good question on get togethers. Like most of these things, it's just a matter of someone stepping forward to organize it...

We've got a great group of guys in the Phoenix metro area with some others scattered in northern and southern AZ. We also have one of the best 928 wrenches in the southwest in Dan Warner of Exotic Motorwerks. But we DO need to have another get together, it has been awhile!

I thought we'd had a get together fairly recently when Herman visited us from TX, but that was over a year ago now! Time has been flying by... I know it's starting to warm up, but what do you say guys... Rich, Drew, Alan, Chuck, Richard, Larry??? We haven't even had an official welcome event for Dan S4ordie!

What do you all think??? Another Saturday morning with some of the F & L cars??? Tech session with Dan??? Anyone?

Rick, it would be a great excuse for the guys in Vegas to come down for the weekend. I'll make the trip, but it's getting warm. The sooner the better!

That would be great Joe! I know it will be a 928 get together, but would love to see the Polecat too. Pantera is still one of my favorite cars of all time.

We'll see if we can get the boys together. It would be great to meet you and I'd really like to meet Dan as well. I agree, the sooner the better, how much notice do you need to come from Vegas?

Just 2 weeks. My wife's sister lives in Fountain Hills, with her family. This will work out really well. We need to visit with Dan as well. He's a great guy, and lots of fun.

FWIW, I lifted the heads off the Pantera, to much boost. So it's down till this fall, will have it running by Sharktoberfest.

2 weeks... OK, how about in 3 weeks? That would be 3 weeks from today, Saturday June 4th. We could descend again upon the Cars and Coffee gathering early Saturday morning with the Ferrari, Lambo and "other" Porsche guys, and/or hit the car show/gathering at Scottsdale Pavilions later in the evening. I'll contact Rich Andrade and he can alert the entire AZ Desert Gang.

What do you think? How 'bout it AZ boys? Dan, are you around that weekend?

I was just up in Prescott a couple weekends ago in our 928. My wife and I followed some friends up, had lunch at the Brown Bag (very good burgers), stopped at their place, then came home. Nice first trip after the WP/TB job.

There's nothing humble about your '83. In its day, it could more than hold its own against the comparable F car or Lambo. I would love to have a 308/328 some day, but know my '90GT can out run either. A Ferrari buddy of mine that got me into this 928 "mess" had 2 928's and helped me find my GT. At one point he had an 88S4 5-spd., 348 and a Testarossa (NICE garage full!). The F car guys around here anyway know about and respect 928's. So no worries about your humble 928, it will fit right in with all the other humble cars that show up.

Look forward to meeting you and your car if this gathering comes together!

4th works for us, and I've got 2 other Porsche owners lined up to go. Also have a message out to Dan. If I don't get a reply before I fly to Ca. tomorrow, I'll call him Monday.

This sounds like a great weekend, before the weather turns to furnace heat.
Thanks Rick!

Alright AZ guys, sounds like it's official now, we've got guests coming from Vegas!

More details to follow, but we'll plan on at least starting the day on Saturday morning, June 4th at the Cars and Coffee gathering in Scottsdale at the SEC of Scottsdale Rd. and Doubletree Ranch Rd.

It will be great to meet Joe "Polecat" and welcome Dan "S4ordie" into the AZ group. Thanks to the OP, rcrone928 for encouraging the AZ get together. It's about time!

Didn't hear any whine in your posts, and some of us are old(er) and would like to be retired! C'mon down, even if it's a little warm. You will definitely have a good time, meet some great owners and see some fantastic cars. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday...

And you HAVE to come now, you're the one who started all of this...

Hey AZ 928 owners, Been off line the past four days while freezing my butt off in Lake Tahoe. Sheesh, snowed 8inches last night and this morning. Took four hours to get down the hill to Sacramento and the return flight home. I could use a little warmth.

June 4th is good for Lora and I. We'll be there. Can't guarantee I'll have either of my 928's though as ther is some special work getting scheduled. Regardless, we will be there.

Erik N. If want to come our way you can crash at our place in Chandler. Plenty of room.

Looking forward to meeting everyone.
