Man that's funny! The E clips let go! At lest you can now replace the plastic bushings.

I do have an auto but that one is dead because of a fuel line replacement.

I'd think twice before doing that "resto"!

I was just bummed my super $$ brand new espresso maker crapped out.

A Schell"s wouldn't be bad, check out the other threads, but, Grain Belt "Nord East" is AWESOME!!!!

at least you lower half didnt break off!! we had to weld mine at the track. however, it was better than orginal when done.

Real men just stick a finger down the hole the now deleted lever came out of and push/pull/rotate the rear rod to change gear.

Seriously before you replace the shift lever check that the two pins that engage with the shift lever are still rigidly connected to the front and rear shift rods respectively. Not unknown for the spot welds to break leaving the pins still secure but loose. I brazed mine back into position.
