Default 928 Specialists Fuse Charts

dr bob recently posted:
"The fuse and relay chart shared by Dave Roberts and Wally Plumley on the 928 Specialists website shows the 15 and 25 Amp fuses for these cooling fan circuits. Meanwhile, the owner's manual, the factory in-car fuse and relay guide, and the workshop manual all show 30 Amp fuses in both positions. I'm not sure why the website list has differing recommendations from the factory manuals. In this case, I recommend following the WSM guidance on fuse sizes.

I have a copy of that 928 Specialists guide in the car, stuck in the CE panel cover with the factory CE fuses-and-relays guide. Next time I have the carpet lifted there, I'll pull them both out and compare them to see if there are other differences. I'm sure that Dave will quicly update his website after he reviews the lists. "

Yep, there were errors on the '87-'89 pages - David thinks that they were due to cut-and-paste glitches that we didn't notice. He has them all fixed now. Sorry about the errors, and thanks to dr bob for letting us know.

Wally--

Thanks for the update! I'll amend the post to the fans thread with the new info.

For those who as I have printed out the fuse-and-relay charts for your '87-'89 S4 and GT from the 928 Specialists website, take a few minutes to reprint with the corrected sheets, and destroy your previous printed or archived copies.

Thanks to Wally, David and the rest of the 928 Specialists team for maintaining these valuable resources.

When replacing the fuses on my '88 S4 I took out the two 30's to follow the chart. I've now corrected that and put new 30's in. BTW, it is a really useful resource IMO - thanks 928 Specialists

Default 1989 928 S4 1-page fuse/relay chart

I made my own chart of fuses/relays all on one page (legal size page...so everything could fit)...I got tired of flipping thru 3 pages...color coded as well.

See PDF at bottom

Let me know if I owe anyone credit for fuse/relay diagram I used to superimpose my notes on.

If anyone needs "raw" Microsoft 2010 Word document so you can alter (like for different year model), please PM me.

FYI Link to "breaker" type fuses

Link to fuses that light up when they go bye, bye. Ps I've used these for years, no problems.

I'd love to have a copy of that so I could modify it for the S3s. Any chance you could send it to m.r.frye at comcast.net?

I'll make it available for all when I'm done.

I'll post my versions back to this thread when done too. We should be able to get a nice library of versions for MY's and US/ROW.

UM. I was just thinking this might not be cool in a thread started for 928Spec.

Anyone else think this should be split into its own thread?

I hope I didn't step on any toes or not follow proper forum protocol...I just used the search words "fuse & relay chart" and used the top 2 applicable threads to post my chart...hoping people would find my chart easier on the forum this way.

Thanks everyone for the overwhelming response here and thru PM's. I've forwarded the MS Word docs to most (waiting on a few people to forward me their e-mail address since I couldn't figure out how to attach (if possible) Word documents in a Rennlist PM reply)

Thanks to all who expressed interest and commented!

Oli,
Nice job - all the information is in PET so no you did not step on anyone's toes apart from Mr. P.
