Wish I were part of that dangerous crew again this year, but it was great to see everyone in Waynesboro last night (the black unidentified VA tagged 928 in Mike's post). Have a fine, fine trip, guys.

Oh my god, we had perfect weather and the best day on the BRP. Long day in the saddle, endless twists and turns, scenery that is beyond beautiful, views off the mountains at every turn. There's nothing that I can compare it to...
Down at the hotel now swarmed with sharks everywhere. I have never driven a car that can compare with the 928 for comfort and speed, and no other car has better owners.
Cheers!
Carl

Just to finish this SITM related thread;
We had great weather and a perfect day cruising down BRP on friday, from the top all the way down to mile marker 295 or so and then caught rte 221 which is completely twisted, right by Grandfather mountain and leaving us about 5 easy miles from the hotel.
No tickets or break downs on the BRP, and we all had an absolute blast.
On sunday, I left the hotel at 7am and hit the BRP heading north and went from mile marker 304 up to mile marker 90, then it was about 5 miles to jump over to rte 81 and go highway the rest of the way. I made it home in 14.25 hours including stops that route, and had a blast. Mapquest has that same route at 16.25 hours with no stops!!! I guess I went faster than the speed limit. Sorry about that!
Mustang pic: I let him go ahead and clear the way! That thing makes a guards red 928 look invisible to cops!

Carl,
Glad you made it home OK. My trip was 11 hrs and traffic all the way.... lots of work to get thru it. Outside temp ran from 69 (depart B.E.) to 97 going thru Jacksonville, with nothing under 90 after going thru Charlotte. No clouds, no rain, just sun. Finally gave in and used the A/C. Worked fine.
Whatta blast seeing all you guys, I learn so much from SITM about these cars. See ya next year.
